Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) — Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the
Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic
People's Republic of Korea, visited the construction site of the Sinuiju
Combined Greenhouse Farm on Jan. 2 to congratulate and encourage all the
young vanguard members and soldier-builders who greeted the significant
new year in the struggle to glorify the Ninth Congress of the WPK with proud
labour achievements.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was accompanied by leading officials
of the WPK Central Committee and the Ministry of National Defence of the
DPRK.
The young builders, who met Kim Jong Un whom they had been longing to
see so much even in their dreams in the second morning of the new year,
were filled with great excitement and joy.
When Kim Jong Un got off his private train, all the young builders fervently
cheered with great reverence for him who paid his first visit in the significant
new year to their construction site to offer them his warm parental greeting of
best wishes.
Kim Jong Un greatly encouraged the young people, officers and soldiers
who added glory to the noble name of their generation before the times and
history out of boundless patriotism, loyalty and indomitable pioneering spirit
and through a heroic struggle, deeming the Party's regional development plan
and decision a supreme order.
He made a meaningful congratulatory speech.
Saying that he had come there in haste right after the national events in
Pyongyang to start the new year of 2026 together with the young vanguard
members and soldier builders, who are greeting the new year in the
northwestern tip of the country far away from their families and dear home, he
extended warm greetings of encouragement to them on behalf of the Party
Central Committee, the government of the Republic and all the people.

Saying that the young builders all came to the grand construction site, to
which the Party and the state pay importance, so as to transform the island
area, once severely hit by natural disaster, into an ideal greenhouse town
symbolic of the new era in more than 500 days, he noted that during those
days they opted for hardship and self-cultivation, instead of enjoyment and
comfort, regarding it as a worthwhile choice of their youth, and cultivated their
strong will and enthusiastic spirit of being able to overcome difficulties, make
innovations and do patriotic work, and this is a valuable asset of life to be
bought with nothing.
Witnessing the great strength of the youth and the edifices, all associated with
enthusiasm and sincerity of our younger generation, our people are picturing
the eternal prosperity of their country, he said, adding that seeing them
growing up to be robust, the people also get convinced of the continuity of
Korean-style socialism. He noted that there is no such younger generation as
the Korean youth in the world and this is something very pleasant and
satisfactory for the WPK responsible for the future destiny of the country.
Saying that the large combined greenhouse farm is nearing the moment when
it will be presented as a gift of loyalty to the glorious Congress of the motherly
Party, he noted that he would have a picture taken with them on the day of its
inauguration in the transformed area and the Ninth Congress of the WPK
would greet the proud young people in the plaza of the April 25 House of
Culture where they started their courageous advance.
He proposed that the youth vanguard and soldier-builders, brave new-
generation pioneers, gave cheers of "Hurrah!" in chorus in reflection of the
boundless respect and love for the motherland to make their sky-high morale
be felt in Pyongyang and all other parts of the country and through the earth.
All the young builders shouted loud "Hurrah!" for the DPRK, the glorious
motherland of all the people, which will prosper forever.
Kim Jong Un met and warmly encouraged the labour innovators.
All the participants made enthusiastic cheers as a token of their boundless
gratitude to the tender-hearted father.
Expressing expectation and belief that the young builders, who are fully
demonstrating the revolutionary spirit and creation mettle peculiar to our army
and the heroic stamina and fighting spirit peculiar to the DPRK youth in the

vanguard of the sacred struggle for the comprehensive development of the
country, would more courageously and dynamically struggle for the great and
noble ideal of the DPRK and its bright future, he warmly waved at them for a
long time.
All the young vanguard members and soldier-builders loudly chanted slogans
calling for devotedly defending the Party Central Committee and implementing
the Party policies, looking up to Kim Jong Un, who has put the highest value
on the life and feats of youth dedicated to the prosperity of the country and
encourages them to wage a dynamic struggle and achieve a great victory.
That day Kim Jong Un looked round the area of the Sinuiju Combined
Greenhouse Farm nearing its inauguration.
The huge construction project and assembly of greenhouse equipment have
been completed perfectly and landscaping of the area is now progressing
vigorously at the final stage.
Recalling with deep emotion the days when he came up and pushed ahead
with a new regional development plan to establish a large combined
greenhouse farm on a bank of the Amnok River where a new life of socialism
had settled after eradicating the aftermath of a natural disaster, Kim Jong
Un feasted his eyes on the precious asset of the country.
Through the construction of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm, we
have more deeply realized the truthfulness of the self-sustenance and its
great power and came to more clearly observe the level of the working spirit
and creativity we have firmly cemented and developed, he said, expressing
his firm will to more ambitiously plan the undertakings for the promotion of the
wellbeing of the people across the country and radical transformation of the
regions and strenuously implement them.
Highly appreciating the patriotic zeal and devoted efforts of young builders
who have written a new legendary tale of gigantic transformation, sharing the
breath and keeping pace with the Party, he referred to the issues of
successfully finishing the landscaping of the farm and a series of tasks to be
fulfilled in its operation and management in the future and gave an instruction
on its inauguration.
His field guidance at the construction site of the Sinuiju Combined
Greenhouse Farm will be etched as a historic visit that instilled redoubled

strength and encouragement into all the people, service personnel of the
People's Army and the youth across the country making steady progress with
gigantic creation and transformation toward the Ninth Congress of the Party to
