Answer of Spokesperson for the DPRK Ministry of Foreign
Affairs
2023.11.3.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)
gave the following answer to the question put by KCNA on November 3 in regard to the adjustments being
made to the DPRK diplomatic missions in other countries:
In line with the changes in the international environment and the state external policy, we are either
closing or newly opening diplomatic missions in other countries.
Effective relocation and operation of the state’s diplomatic force are part of the regular affairs conducted
by sovereign states with a view to promote their national interests in external relations. We have also
introduced such measures on several occasions in the past.
Necessary diplomatic measures will continue to be taken in view of the long-term development of the
state external relations and in conformity with the development of international environment.
